August

I am a bit disconcerted that August is already upon us - here are a few pictures while I catch my breath.

Do you know that I typed the above statement 3 days ago - everything takes a little while extra.

Even when you have the best helpers in the world, things just don't get done with the same single-minded determination.

Still, life goes on - if you let nature take its course, it will provide...

Of course, sometimes it provides yet another job to do.

I have to smile though - there are always things to smile about.

I see Paris has favoured the broccoli; it's nice to see her befriending such unloved vegies like this.
Mz 'Salina has the look of Billie Piper about her in that photo, beware, she will either be breaking hearts of the male teen variety or breaking Daleks of the Doctor Who variety.
Or both.

Oooh. The lighting of these pictures is wonderful. So are the subjects.

Ohh your girls are both adorable. Eight months is such a lovely age, but then so is 11 months..lol!

Funny how a baby can change the whole rhythm of a household. So small though they are. You girls have such great smiles. Although Paris looks a little confused about what to do with the fine head of broccoli.

I just love that first picture! Funny how such a little thing in pink (or blue) can reorder everything in your life, isn't it?

Jayne - she doesn't mind stripping them down in the highchair! Not an unloved vegetable here. I will have to look up Billie Piper (I know, how ungeek of me)

Thanks Debby - late afternoon for the sisters in long grass which a photographer who talked to us recently told us was a no-no - whenever we have the camera and the idea is the best light.

Melody - I am sure 11 months is gorgeous - will find out for sure in November.

Leenie - nothing could ever prepare for the complete kybosh to household rhythms they create.

Ah yes Mary - but so worth it, hey?

Thank you Pencil Writer - we are.
