Did I ever tell you what a wonderful mother I am?
No?
Well, that would be because I am a bad mother.
I steal lollies from the child. That BAD.
And do you know what else?
I take great joy in eating them - a two-fold joy really, because

I take great joy in eating them - a two-fold joy really, because
- (a) she isn't going crazy from a sugar high, and
- (b) I am!!
Sorry to whip the scales from your eyes.

Kids can't handle sugar highs. Grown ups can. It's a proven fact, so actually, you're saving the child.
*putting up my hand*.... I allow my girls to choose two lollies from party lolly bags on the way home in the car the rest is put away for 'later'.. later being when they eventually forget and I can scoff the lot! ROFL
LOL! You're my kind of mommy.
GRINZ.
LOL. Just wait--she'll eventually figure it out.
When my kids were younger they used to wonder why their Halloween candy disappeared so fast from their designated jars. While candy wasn't really my thing, their Daddy was all about keeping them safe from cavities.
These days they count it.
Oh, my kids know that the fee for pickup/dropoff at parties is equal to 20% of the party bag loot. Gotta be taking your commission.
Which reminds me, I think hubby put more lollies in the lolly jar last night. Must nip downstairs...
LOL. I am a bad mother then too *hangs head in shame*... also waht Kate said? I do that too.
Oh yes... having seen Salina on a sugar high up close and personal, I can attest to the wisdom of this manoevre! And having seen Jeanie in severe LBSCBD (stolen from Pioneer Woman: Low Blood Sugar Cranky Butt Disorder) ... I'd say 'two birds with one stone' baby!!!
:-)
BB
I do that too.
You are being a good mummy saving her blood sugar problems
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a GREAT mother - You are dutifully disposing of the evil lollies that will mess with your daughters equilibrium at some point. GO YOU!
So... How was the crash? lol
We have lolly tax in our family. That means the kids have to give us a portion of any lollies they are given. ;)
*grin*
I only steal/liberate chocolate
Kids lollies Rock!
I 'teach' my kids the value of sharing, by getting them to offer me their lollies, chippies, whatever.
I am prepared to sacrifice my waistline to teach the kids this valuable lesson. :)
That's a mighty sacrifice you're making there, Jeanie, and it's for the good of all mankind in the long run ;)
Clearly, you are a marvelous mother. Only a marvelous mother would protect her child from the evils of sugar at such great personal sacrifice.
Nothing as good as candy from the school parties.
Woot!
Yep, I do it too. Fortunately my daughter is still at that 'out of sight out of mind' stage and doesn't wonder what happened to all those party bags she barely touched.
And I love the 'lolly tax' lightning! Might adopt that phrase.
and now i've gone and fallen in love with you. see how easy that is?
good for you, better for her.......
Win win all-round I say ;) lol
