You say to-may-to

I say OH MY GOODNESS (and this doesn't even count on what is yet to be harvested from the remains of the vines out the back)

I "graded" them into "yet to ripen",

"probably ripen this week",

and "cook right now - but how?"

There was also a "what the heck" moment with this little tomato...

One lesson in little girls and sharp knives (the good sort of lesson - where Paris succeeded under supervision) and the trays were prepared for a long visit to the oven...

And the finished product, now in the fridge just WAITING for the tastebuds.

What do you do with your tomato glut?

You've had a far more successful year than I, so no real glut around here. I do have my favorite recipes I make on end in addition to sharing.

Beautiful bounty you have!

YUM! I love tomatoes. Forgot to get some at the green grocer today actually. I'm jealous of your home grown lot!

I love bruschetta. And salsa. And sandwiches with great big huuuuuuuge slices of tomatoes.

Thanks Kelly - and I notice you have a tomato post too!!

Melody - tested them yesterday - very very yum. You are welcome to come and try them.

Vanessa - offer is open to you also - we are about to pull these volunteers and actually deliberately plant some - never as successful.

Debby - oooh bruschetta - guess what I am going to make for a snack later - thanks for the idea.

BB - you are welcome to a few of ours - and thanks (thanks Deb too)

Paris - thank you for giving me the keyboard back. Coming to play with you now darling.

We never have many left over, the kids just eat them all off the vines as soon as they are ripe!
