I am not sure of the rules really, so please put me to rights if I am doing this wrong.
This is for Wednesday's word - I did write it yesterday but held off on posting. Here is River's post
Without further ado:
I junked my first stab - oh my, nobody needs that. The second attempt is not much more joyous, I am afraid. Must work on that - perhaps better at night than a morning after lack of sleep.Let me instead poeticise this prompt:
I was invited to wonder, wander in
And delight myself with words.
I instead plodded, my pessimistic soul not encouraging the curious
The delights of gallivanting.
Instead, it enfolded me in greens dulled by forest shadow
Phrases shrouded to disappoint.
My unburdened self lies beyond some old gate
I am sure it hides there with the reminders of bacon
Yes, bad for you in so many ways,
But the delight and crisp wafting through my could have beens.

Loved this Jeannie, fabulous use of those four words. There are so many layers to this I’m wandering down different paths to find the bacon sarnie
Many years ago - yes Words fit Wednesday has been going for a very long time - I used to take part in the weekly writing fest.
EC….who’s on a break at the moment..is the host now https://myjustsostory.blogspot.com/. River is a participant and writes a continuing story using the words provided each month by various bloggers.
Scroll down her posts to see what goes on….she gets an enormous response…..
and btw nobody gets it wrong- just use the words provided in their own way
Jeanie; this is quite good, wandering thoughts wondering, and bacon! Bacon is good. There are no real rules to this, just use the words any way you can, and you don't even have to use all of them if they don't fit in. It's a fun meme to get you thinking.
This is a fun exercise and I like your offering! I've never heard of this meme, though I use to often see one that shared new-to-you words and their definitions (on a Wednesday).
This is new for me. You are very talented, well done for this interesting poetic description.
Well done. I, too, missed many an opportunity to wonder, wander in and delight myself with words.
This is fun, Jeanie, and a great challenge. Very clever indeed.
