we have not yet found the cord to download the photos to upload to blogger to illustrate the story to creating eggplant relish nirvana.
When I say "we", I mean - I have been rarely in the house since the last post to look very well. I mean, V remembered last night about my plight and spent a frantic half-hour scouring the place for the "very good spot" he put it in. He even looked in some very shocking spots (which Mr OCDV would never contemplate) and still came up cordless. 'Salina did not join in the fun.
So - instead of blogging, I have a house to clean. You know, that old "I am not really looking for the cord" routine that may lull it into being found.
See you at the other end (or when I come up for air - this is not for the faint hearted or short of breath).
I would show you the immensity of the task - but, you know, that would require finding the cord...

Good luck with the "cleaning"!
I'm about to undertake something similar, but my anticipated treasure is only the special die for a game I bought Ella 3 weeks ago and that we haven't been able to play since the die got lost 2 weeks ago.
Oh Jeanie, I don't envy your task at all. I lost the camera cord over 6 months ago and still haven't found it! My solution was making sure the lap top I bought (for work) had a slot thingy for the memory card.
Hope your not searching for the cord results in a located cord.
Alison - you are a GODSEND!!! Thank you - your comment prompted me to remember where my useless card reader (that I had for a great old phone that got stolen) was gathering dust, and with a muttered prayer I found I had NOT YET tossed and it worked, it worked, it worked, it worked!!!!
Now I can blog rather than tidy...
Lin - good luck - although you do realise you can buy (or heck, even make) dice? Might be the easy option for you.
Hooray!! More blogging, less tidying!!
Glad I could help :)
Pip Ray!
Lin don't buy new dice until you figure out what happened to the old ones. I'd fret a little at the thought that dust bunnies may lurk in dark corners playing games of chance...
I totally agree (from vast experience) with the theory of NOT looking for something in order to find it.
Well, let me revise: Only when I'm finally looking for something else, will the FIRST looked for something magically reveal itself. There's a mystery lurking around for some reasons I don't quite get. ;-}
Woohoo! Great tip, Al.
And LOL Debby!
The dice we lost has 2 sides with a 1, 2 sides with a 2, one with a pirhana and one with a little blue fish.
Could just buy some stickers and convert a normal dice.
But to be honest, I'm using this to teach Ella a lesson about the importance to put things - especially small things - in a place where we can find them again! And if I do find it, I can also teach her the even more important skill of finding lost things. lol
