Stress-free

You know, up until a week ago, I was completely unphased by this whole "you are going to have a baby" thing. It was going to happen, I was zen.

Then (a) people suddenly felt they had to ask ALL THE TIME when I was due, whether I was over it etc, etc (b) I had an appointment on due date and they said the ominous "you see the doctors next week if you haven't gone to see the next plan" and (c) I really thought something was happening - and then it wasn't...

That made me all antsy and want it to happen, and want it to happen RIGHT NOW - and lord, if b1tchy and grouchy was a precursor to labour, then we would be talking babies and not lack thereof.

It all came to a head this morning, and I had a little meltdown with V. Its amazing what a good cry will do. We are back to zen - I think it is the best approach.

I hate it when people get to me... Especially when they really don't mean to be getting to me at all, just being polite.

Ohhhh that baby is zen too. He/she will come when he/she feels that exact right moment.

It's a you and the womb and the baby and the Universe thing and God too hahaha ....it is!!

Nothing to do with calendars or other people's plans and expectations.

Enjoy the bliss of these days ....
trumpet days they are ....a little hint of the sound you can hear heralding the baby's arrival ..but you have to shut out all that silly noise...

Psssttt ...... listen .... listen ..

Hey, I think that I've been pretty darn good. I check your blog 20 times a day, but I don't leave impatient comments or anything. Quiet as a mouse, no nagging, nothing. That's me.

*taps fingers nervously*

So how you feeling now?

*tiptoes back out*

Voice echoes in from out in the hall..."HEY! My word verification is 'mysogoli'. That sounds like an Italian cuss word. Jeanie?!!! You can have that word if you need it."

Yeah... I am laying low too Debby. *giggles nervously* Cause I don't ring hourly or anything. Just daily. Some people get soooo touchy when they feel like they are being watched!

Love ya lil sis. Will NOT ring tomorrow. Well not in the MORNING anyway...

Yeah, I got so I wouldn't go out in public or answer the phone after my due date. Got so tired of the well meant comments. Even though being the home for the little one was so magic I got to a point--baby probably did too-- when I just wanted it to be OVER. Even though I knew what came next--wonderful and---the other stuff.

Thanks for the tip, BB. I won't watch.

*averts eyes and tiptoes back out*

ha ha ha - ever contemplated a routine, BB and Deb?

Thank you all - you will be advised on developments.

Ommmmm.

My father always said a baby would come when he/she was ready and once born always looked like itself.

I send you calm.

Routine? Cripes. That sounds like gymnastics. I'm really not all that bendy, Jeanie.

So....how's the Copenhagen conference going, do y'think we'll get those wind turbines and solar farms up in legislation at all?

Debby said...

And what about them Steelers? They're not gonna make the Super Bowl this year.

Oh if people only knew the real entertainment in my posts was hidden in the comments section.

I tried to make heads or tails of the Copenhagen thing last night, unfortunately, the Democracy Now broadcast was focusing on the concerns of the protesters, not the actual decisions being made. What do you hear, Jayne?

Oh, hey Jeanie, how ya doing? Checking on you? Heck no. We're trying to have a serious political discussion.

Jayne said...

Debby, all I hear is hot air being blathered in Copenhagen which is only increasing the temperature around the world.
Now, in sporting matters I'm picking the Beaumaris Ripple Riders to take out the gold cup in the Under 5 cm Surf Classic this Summer ;)

LOL You're right about the comments on your blog. Vikings in the Superbowl.

word verification EXPLUDE--what the momma will do after 9.5 months.

See, Jeanie, I told you. Serious political discussions.

*walks off muttering 'Beaumaris Ripple Riders?!! Huh...'*

We have sadly accepted the fact that the Steelers stink this year. Actually Tim has. I am not a sports fan.

Oh, hi, Jeanie. How's it going?
