In case you were wondering

where all of this water was going:

(Not for us - highset house and excellent drainage to the Pacific out the front)

I think we fail to understand just how powerful water can be at times until videos like this shows the speed and force behind it.
Great commentary :)

Humbling and scary to think we people are just fleas on the dogs back of the earth--at the mercy to nature and her whims and tantrums. Awesome video in the true sense of the word.

I can't imagine the horror of the weather so many Australians are dealing with! I remember--many years ago--living in Texas and having several days of heavy rains--one day we had 12 inches in 12 hours. Our apartment complex was being evacuated and the water and destruction were frightening. Not as bad then as what Australia is dealing with now. In fact, I wish there were a way for y'all to send much of the wet stuff here. We have a lake that is only a fraction of what it was just early last year. Grass is growing where acres and acres of water used to be. Blessing to all who are suffering so terribly out your way.
